Information about Megaplex 2008 |
|
Megaplex is a performing arts themed convention. The convention's goal, as stated in its mission, is to "provide for our membership a celebration of interactive arts and performance, with a primary focus on anthropomorphics and fantasy". In this regard, much of Megaplex's programming has focused on fursuiting, puppetry, improvisation, and other types of performance. The convention has had live performances from professional a cappella groups Toxic Audio in 2003 and 2004, and 4:2:Five in 2006. Most recently in 2008, the convention featured a live concert from Matthew Ebel, a professional songwriter and recording artist. In 2005, Megaplex hosted the Potpourri of Puppets, a regional puppetry event run by the Central Florida Puppetry Guild. |
